How to Expedite a Ghana Visa

To visit Ghana, you will need a visa. Ghana offers five types of visa. Each type has requirements that must be fulfilled to get the visa you need. This post will provide information on the different Ghana visas and how to apply for each. Also, information about the location if you decide to apply in person or by mail.

Ghana Visa Types

Ghana offers five visas types to applicants who wish to visit the country. You can pay for a single entry or multiple entry visas.  The visa types include:

  • B-1 – Business Visa
  • B-2 – Tourist/ Holiday/ Volunteering Visa
  • C-1; C-2 – Transit Visa
  • F-1; F-2 – Student Visa
  • H-1 to H-4 – Temporary Workers Visa

Ghana Visa Requirements

  • Completed visa application form (make three copies of the original form)
  • Valid passport with at least six months validity and two blank pages
  • Four passport size photos
  • Itinerary
  • Copy of your most recent bank statement
  • Business Letter (if your trip is for business)
  • Proof of Vaccination from Yellow Fever
  • Write a separate letter explaining the reason for multiple entries (if requesting multiple-entry visa)
  • Visa fee

How to Apply

You can apply in person or by mail. To apply in person, gather all the necessary documents and submit them at the Embassy in Washington. You should also mail your documents to the same location. Include a prepaid return envelope with sufficient postage for your passport and visa. Also, include your address on the envelope where you want to receive your document.
